A Week In The Magazines
As a female I'm naturally obsessed with reading every celebrity gossip magazine I can grab my hands on, so I thought it might be fun to talk about the major headlines in all the magazines.
So, one huge headline that was in literally every magazine I read this week was everyone's new favourite quirky model, Cara Delevingne. Usually, the magazines are praising Cara (who could blame them she's beautiful, funny and one of us Brits) but the stories weren't exactly positive this week.
Cara was papped walking out of her home with a little bag with a white powdered substance in it (hmm wonder what that could be?!). Of course, models these days have a huge reputation and stereotype of having eating disorders and drug addictions so it's no surprise that every's assuming it wasn't something as innocent as baby powder in that little bag. Cara is known for her quirky personality as well as her thick brows, she's an up and coming superstar and it would be a shame to see another career be ruined because of drugs it's happened far too many times to far too many talented people. It's a know fact that Cara loves a good knees up but I'm sure even she will be raising her very thick eyebrows at the photos of her plastered over magazines this week.
Up next is Cara's 'wifey' Rita Ora. It seems little Miss. Ora has managed to grab herself another superstar! This time it's Scottish DJ Calvin Harris. Every magazine has been filled up with photos of the two apparent love birds and true, they would make an amazing looking couple and they both make great music but can anyone really see them lasting if these rumours of a relationship are true?
It's a well known fact that Rita has been seen with a number of hot men including One Direction's Harry Styles (here come the tears from angry Directioners) to Rob Kardashian (how can anyone forget how that one ended?) so could Calvin just be another one of her hot showbiz buddies? True, the pair do look very close and would make one hot couple but can we really trust these rumours when Rita is always partying with boys who are "just friends"? Plus, Calvin looks pretty cosy with Ellie Goulding in the 'I need your love' video. But lets face it, who's going to turn either of these women down and Calvin Harris is pretty hot too!
Another story thats (annoyingly) been in every magazine this week is a heated feud between Big Brother winner Chantelle Houghton and her ex and baby daddy Alex Reid (yes, they're at it again). Since they split up they have been having regular battles if it's through their columns in the magazines it's through Twitter but its seems that Alex Reid has moved on from Chantelle as he gets himself a new girlfriend, personal trainer Nikki Mnahashe but of course, cage fighter Alex can't just play nice, he has to start what seems like round 1000 of this funny (but irritating) slanging match.
Sparks first started flying when Alex Reid said that his new girl Nikki has 'a much better body than Chantelle' so Chantelle hit back saying that these comments we're unfair as she has just had a baby and Nikki is a personal trainer which if we're honest is both very true and was probably said to get more media attention.
Although it's entertaining to see celebrities rant about each other it's a bit boring when they do it every week. I think I speak for more than myself when I say this is one battle I wish would die down.
